When did Netflix and Chill turn into Youtube and chilli's

When did I suddenly become old, yes granted ever since I turned 40, bits on the Auld chassis have started to malfunction and dare I say fall off. Now that I am 51 I don't feel any older mentally than when I was forty, however, I do find it difficult to get out of bed in the morning, after the initial shock of gravity on my joints and the obligatory stretch, where I pray I don't pull a muscle. Dolores and I were talking the other day about getting old, the mortality thing has been concentrated these past few months for obvious reasons. We remember when we were 18-20 and anyone over 30 was old.....

So I ask myself when did it change from being young free and single to growing chillis in my office and watching youtube videos on how to do it...My newborn babies below

So with new life comes new responsibilities, and hopefully, I will be able to get a bumper crop of these bad boys in a few month's time, they are a mixture but I have one packet of Carolina Reaper planted - the hottest chili on the planet

Growing chili peppers is like playing a game of spicy roulette. You never know which one is going to make you regret your life choices.

Not that I regret many things in my life, sometimes I wonder if I had stayed in Texas, how my life would have been different, but then I wouldn't have married DC and had JC, so I must be thankful for the path that I have been on, since I read an ad for a Job in Ireland, in the Mourne Observer my mum posted to me weekly back in 2002. As my Dad used to say 'whats for you will never go by you' - I do miss his wisdom.

So with all that said.. I will leave you with this...

As with all things I do try to have a bit of fun whilst doing it, so it will be interesting to see if I can go a Carolina Reaper Reaper in a taste test.......
